g-Enesis勉強会の案内です。
テーマ：　「太陽エネルギーの商業化」と「電気自動車の未来」
日時：　　2010年1月28日18:30～21:00
場所：　　東京大学柏キャンパス・環境棟３F　レクチャールーム3

上記二つのテーマに対し、g-EnesisのメンバーであるMatthew J Bouton、小川敬也が勉強会をします。
「太陽エネルギーの商業化」については太陽光のエネルギー変換や産業化の現状などについて取り扱います。太陽光パネルのそれぞれ特徴、効率性について述べ、国が太陽光を導入するメリット、経済へのインパクトについて述べます。
「電気自動車の未来」については電気自動車の基礎事項について私が担当します。
そして東京大学大学院・人工物工学研究センターの准教授を兼任し、日産のEV技術開発本部エキスパートリーダーである堀江英明准教授にお越しいただき、これからの社会の動向や最先端の技術についてお話していただきます。
堀江准教授は日産自動車の技術者としてリチウムイオン電池の車への応用にいち早く目をつけて開発を先導してきた方です。
二次電池の大容量化など、これから電気自動車が普及するに当たっての問題点、解決策についてよりたくさんお話が聞けると思います。

Matthew J Bouton and Takaya Ogawa, g-Enesis members, plan to have a lecture about above themes.

In the lecture about "Commercialization of Solar", Matt will attempt to provide with an adequate knowledge of solar energy and the current status of the industry.  For best understanding, we will begin the presentation with a description of how solar panels convert solar energy into electrical power. Then, we will go into a brief discussion
of the varieties of photovoltaic panels and the efficiency level for each.  The discussion will then shift to government incentives for implementation and economies of scale for PV systems.

In the lecture about "The Future of Electric Vehicle", Takaya Ogawa will explain about the fundamental knowledge about Electric Vehicles (EV).
And, Hideaki Horie, associate professor of Research into Artifacts Center of Engineering in University of Tokyo and Expert Leader of  EV development department in Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., will give a speech about the trend of society and the latest technology for EV. Horie has studied Lithium battery for practical use in EV and will talk about various problems and solutions for familiarizing EV for society, such as producing high capacity Lithium battery.
